Steve Madar, Gretch Lodge, and Arielle Siler in Kristin Idaszak’s THE LIAR PARADOX, directed by Sabina Ptasznik
The Vagrancy brings you TACTICAL READS, with support from the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative!
The goal of TACTICAL READS is to find amazing, unproduced plays by Los Angeles female playwrights and pair them with female directors. After choosing the text, The Vagrancy reaches out to several interested directors for their “Targets.” This is the specific angle the director would like to explore, it can be anything from “the depths of the character’s psyche” to “staging the reading in drag to probe the sexual stereotypes of the play.” These Targets are passed on to the playwright who chooses one and the pairing is made!
TACTICAL READS play every other month at different venues across the city. **TACTICAL READS is currently on hiatus** PREVIOUS TACTICAL READS
