A Staged reading of LUST by Maria Irene Fornes In this vicious one-act, Fornes’ uses short vignettes to highlight the sexual gamut of mankind as it relates to family, class, gender, capitalism and technology. LUST refuses any political agenda, symbolism or pattern but instead connects to the enigmatic human spirit.

Fortunate enough to grow up in a home where her mother saved everything she wrote, McManus is able to explore the startling similarities between her musings as a small child and her current work as a writer and musician-all with wit, passion, and unwavering rhyme schemes.
